Michael Williams, Acting Hunterdon County ProsecutorOn, April 12, 2019, Acting Prosecutor Michael J. Williams was sworn in as Acting Hunterdon County Prosecutor.

Acting Prosecutor Williams joined the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office last April as First Assistant Prosecutor.  Before that he spent 30 years with the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office in the Division of Criminal Justice, where he was a deputy attorney general in the Appellate Bureau, Deputy Chief of that Bureau, and Counsel to Director Elie Honig.  In his roles with the Division he also oversaw the Appellate and Prosecutor’s Supervision & Training Bureaus, and was the ethics liaison officer, internal affairs counsel, and training coordinator.  Before joining the Attorney General’s Office, Acting Prosecutor Williams clerked for the Honorable Ronald B. Graves, J.S.C./J.A.D. (retired) from 1987-88 after graduating from Vermont Law School in 1987 and the State University of New York at Geneseo in 1984. 

He lives with his wife in Pennington, and has two adult children.
