Make-it Take-it Craft Programs

Registration Instructions:

Pre-registration required. Submit our registration and medical forms with cash/check payment to H.C. Parks. Mail to P.O. Box 2900, Flemington, NJ 08822 or drop off at the Hunterdon County Arboretum, 1020 State Highway 31, Lebanon, NJ 08833. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

  • Date: Mondays
  • Time: 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM
  • Location: Echo Hill (inside)
  • Ages: 11 and up child/adult teams and adults (children must be accompanied by an adult)
  • Cost: $8 per child/adult team or single adult (pre-registration required) 
  • Class size: 10 projects
  • Instructor: Liz Braidwood-Fulmer, Recreation Program Coordinator 

Participants will receive step-by-step instructions as they create with their hands. Bring a drink and a big smile.

APRIL 17: EARTHMOBILE 

Create a flat mobile that hangs nicely in a window using sticks, seeds, and other things found in nature.

APRIL 24: CARDBOARD TUBE BASKET 

Make a basket from repurposed cardboard tubes. Difficulty: challenging.

MAY 1: MINI MAYPOLE

Make a small maypole/wand and then try it out as we dance around the Maypole.

MAY 8: SODA TAB BRACELET 

Create an eye-catching bracelet, and make a second one as a Mother’s Day gift!

MAY 15: TEE-SHIRT YARN & FINGERWEAVING 

Make yarn out of an old tee-shirt and then learn to finger weave. If you have an old tee-shirt we can cut up, please bring it with you. Also please bring fabric scissors if you have them.
