Baby Playdates at the Park 

  • Date: Fridays
  • Time: 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM
  • Ages: 0 to 12 months (children must be accompanied by an adult)
  • Cost: free (pre-registration required)
  • Instructor: Laura Bush, Principal Park Naturalist
  • Class size: 10 children with an adult

Be prepared to sit on the grass and experience nature! Join naturalist and new mom Laura to explore sensory activities, read nature books, and play games. Bring a blanket to sit or lay on if desired and dress for the weather.

  • October 6: Teetertown Preserve, 40 Pleasant Grove Road, Lebanon Township (the first entrance if coming from Califon; meet at the brown garage
  • November 3: Hoffman Park, 26 Baptist Church Road, Union Township   

Baby Walks

  • Date: Fridays
  • Time: 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM
  • Ages: 0 to 23 months with adult (children must be accompanied by an adult)
  • Cost: free (pre-registration required)
  • Instructor: Laura Bush, Principal Park Naturalist
  • Class size: 10 children each with an adult

Get outside with your baby and explore your local trails! We will do some nature education geared toward the adults and enjoy the company of other parents and caregivers in the area. We will walk at the pace of the adults; we ask that babies be carried or in a stroller. 

  • October 20: Landsdown Trail, 113 Lower Landsdown Road, Franklin Township (fine gravel trail appropriate for strollers and carriers)
  • November 17: Hunterdon County Arboretum, 1020 State Highway 31, Clinton Township (grass and dirt trails appropriate for carriers and robust strollers only)
