Overview

Oversight of matters relating specifically to Alcohol and Drug Abuse Services in the County, including the State Municipal Alliance Program, for recommendations to the Council and thence, the State and Board of Chosen Commissioners. Develops Alcohol and Drug Abuse Services Plan; allocates through the Council, State funding from the New Jersey Division on Alcohol and Drug Abuse of the New Jersey Department of Human Services; and, evaluates the effectiveness of State-funded programs for recommendations to the Council.

Overview:


Oversight of matters relating directly to the County Municipal Alliances. Five Municipal Alliance Clusters, composed by grouping municipalities according to high school sending districts, present a comprehensive spending plan for State allocated funds. CASS approves spending plans developed by the Clusters for recommendation to the Council. Clusters implement the programs.
