The County History Partnership Program was created in 2015 by the New Jersey Historical Commission (NJHC) to extend the administration of local re-granting programs to all the state’s 21 counties. This program enables the NJHC to support existing and emerging local history organizations, and other eligible non-profit organizations providing history projects, programs, services to benefit diverse public audiences. The Hunterdon County Cultural & Heritage Commission (HCC&HC) is the officially designated agency in Hunterdon County to apply for and receive grant funds from the NJHC for this program. The annual grant award funds a countywide history re-grant program that benefits local history organizations seeking organizational support, as well as other organizations (units of local government, libraries, and schools that meet the NJHC priorities and eligibility criteria) seeking support for history programming and services. CHPP grant funds are awarded to eligible Hunterdon County-based organizations, for programs and services offered in Hunterdon County through a formal competitive grant application/independent peer review panel process
