Covid-19 Vaccines

Fall 2023 COVID Vaccination UPDATE 11/30/23:

In late September, the new COVID vaccine was made  available and will provide protection against new circulating variants (including XBB.1.5).  An updated recommendation for all age groups can be found here: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/stay-up-to-date.html

While the Federal Government COVID-19 Vaccine Distribution Program has concluded, COVID-19 vaccines remain free for most Americans through their health insurance plans, and vaccines are widely available at physician offices and retail pharmacies.

For those without insurance or those with insurance that does NOT provide free COVID-19 vaccines, free vaccine is available through a Bridge Access Program.  Free COVID vaccines through the Bridge program are available with Healthcare Providers, certain Retail Pharmacies, and local Health Centers.  The Hunterdon County Health Department will be providing COVID-19 vaccine to underinsured or uninsured households. We hope to begin this program in the weeks to come (December/January).

We will continue to post updates here as additional information becomes available.  Should you have any questions please call us at 908-788-1351 or email health@co.hunterdon.nj.us
