My name is Patrick Eckard, and I am a Recreation Program Coordinator at the Hunterdon County Division of Parks and Recreation. I have worked for the County for a total of 20 years; 12 years with the Parks. I grew up in Hunterdon County and I have a background in first aid, camping, hiking, trail work, and canoeing/kayaking. I am an emergency medical technician (EMT) with a Hunterdon County Rescue Squad and a First Aid and CPR instructor with the American Heart Association. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, helping people, and reading. Here at the Parks, I oversee many things including: the Trail Ambassadors to help keep are parks in good shape, Music Under the Stars Concerts at Deer Path Park, and canoeing and Kayak trips; that is just the major ones. I also teach many different programs, such as Knot Tying, Camping Skills, First Aid / CPR, Fishing, Hiking, and more.
Hope to see you in the parks!
