Blue Vervain (Verbena hastata)

Blue Vervain relies on bumblebees as pollinators. Flowering from July to September, it forms showy candelabra-like spikes along roads and damp thickets. The plant was once thought to be a cure-all among medicinal plants and the genus means "sacred plant."
