Japanese Barberry (Berberis thunbergii)
This is an invasive plant that is still planted in many gardens. Although it is deer resistant, it is an aggressive plant that outcomes natives for space in the soil. The leaves turn orange to red in the fall, and in the spring has yellow flowers.
