Thumbs up Ridge

Ridge

The eastern ridge and slope of Union Furnace is strewn with rocks and boulders. This feature has inhibited the growth of the forest in the area. The rocks and boulders have limited the ability for seeds of the surrounding trees to take root in the ground.
